SO HERE IS MY STORY
I’M FABIO, A PASSIONATE YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born and raised here, but proud to hail from Italian descent (But don`t expect a strong Italian accent out of me!)
Over the last few years, my love for photography has blossomed; initially inspired by the greatest muse in my life (my dog, Joey, have a look here to see why!), my passion progressed into landscapes, portraits, videography and finally finding its home at wedding photography.
Being a wedding photographer has become my main focus as I love capturing the special moments and being able to provide newly weds with the memories to look back on and relive for the rest of their lives.
WHY AM I A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
I always loved the camera, So one black Friday in 2015 i but the bullet and spent £500 on a camera. I was rubbish, i couldn’t make anything look good but i was keen to not give up!
After many training courses i quick accelerated my abilities then a friend asked me to photograph his wedding so i gave it a go and from then i was hooked.
The thing i loved most about weddings was it challenged you in every way, the pressure, the speed, the technical, the night stuff, the day stuff it’s just so rewarding when all your skills come together to form one amazing package.
Having spent my early photography career photographing in night clubs where i used to DJ i quickly became the master of being able to take photos in harsh environments which comes in to play during weddings.
It’s part of the main reason i stick around after the first dance(very few do!) as i just love the disco/dancing and challenges there too.
aside from the photograph aspects i am very much a people person too, i love socializing and chatting to people.
THE STORY TELLER
My natural and relaxed approach combines a documentary style of photography with storytelling.
I like to blend into each wedding like a guest and enjoy the day as much as you and grab every moment in its raw and natural state. Engaging with the guests and being part of the day to relax each and every person around the camera is where I excel the most.
If by the end of the day if your guests are still referring to me as “The Photographer” instead of “Fabio” then I’ve failed. I want to make your guests feel they can scream me over any time they want a photo or when auntie Susan is doing the worm so no moment is missed.
I am up for anything different on your day! the crazier the better I have no limits. If you want to re-enact some photos, then be my guest we will work on some specific shots together. (Click here for a special suprise)
For the most part of your wedding day I’m constantly on the lookout for genuine moments that happen between you or your guests to capture the full story of your day.
When you look back you will hopefully have a collection of wonderfully captured moments and mini narratives that, when viewed all together in your wedding collection, tell the full story of your special day.
THE PHOTOS ARE TO DOCUMENT YOUR DATE – NOT DOMINATE IT.
Candid, natural and raw emotions of the day are what I strive to achieve.
I like to keep my couple shots short and sweet and break them into 2 x 20-minute sessions so they are more of a break from your wedding than a chore. Capturing the light at different times gives a broader selection of photos. But ultimately.
If you are happy with 5 amazing shots then so be it, if you want hundreds then we can spend hours on it.
I let you be in control. It’s your day after all, not mine.
THE KIT BAG
I’m a Canon shooter and a big lover of it!
On the day I bring 3 cameras (yes, 3!) – because backups are so important for your day, your memories are important and they need a backup solution. we only have one shot at it and we can’t afford technical breakdowns.
Not only that, I have backup lenses, backup tripods, backup flashes, backup everything!
All my cameras also have multiple memory cards for extra peace of mind and i come with over £20,000 of equipment on the day (yes it’s pricey stuff! especially when you need double of everything for backup.
it’s the main part of the reason why wedding photography isn’t cheap as equipment needs replacing every 2 years from knocks and bumps)
MEET JOEY AND KATE
My little family, mainly my dog, are my greatest muses
Meet Joey, a grumpy stuburn Lhasa apso with eyeleashes people would pay money for.
He has been my not-so patient subject for countless photo shoots.
And meet Kate, my beautiful now wife(Married in sep 2023) and before you ask…yes choosing my own wedding photographer wasn;’t easy!
She supports me in every way. Whenever I need a subject for my photography , she’s there with slightly more patience than Joey.
