If you’re planning a wedding at Carlton Towers, get ready for something truly magical. Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, this grand stately home is the definition of elegance and romance. With its gothic architecture, sweeping staircases, and lush gardens, Carlton Towers is a venue that feels straight out of a fairytale.

Being asked to photograph a wedding here is always an honour – and when Beth & Rob got in touch to say they wanted me to capture their day, I knew it was going to be something special. I’d been looking forward to it for months!

The Venue

Gothic grandeur, sweeping staircases, lush gardens, timeless Yorkshire countryside elegance! The picture says it all!

Bridal Prep

The morning began in Carlton Towers’ stunning grand Victorian-style rooms – think four‑poster beds, ornate details, and huge windows flooding the space with soft, natural light. It’s the kind of setting that makes bridal prep feel timeless and cinematic from the very first shot.

The Grand Hall Ceremony

When it comes to that true princess fairy-tale entrance, Carlton Towers delivers pure magic. The aisle here isn’t just beautiful – it’s grand, dramatic, and utterly unforgettable. Sweeping through the opulent hall, it’s a setting that makes you feel like royalty. Without doubt, it’s the most breath-taking aisle in all of Yorkshire and makes light work for a wedding photographer

When no shortage of space and the beautiful back drop of the venue we whisked all the guests to the end of the path to throw confetti over the happy couple utilising the venues beautiful exterior as a backdrop

The Wedding Breakfast

Back in to the venue where we entered yet another stunning room for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

From the breathtaking backdrop of this historic Yorkshire wedding venue to the acres of picturesque grounds surrounding it, every view is worthy of a photograph. Golden hour and sunsets

On Beth & Rob’s wedding day, we were sat chatting and relaxing when we noticed the sun starting to set – and our eyes instantly lit up! As wedding photographers, we knew this was a moment we couldn’t miss. The golden hour light at Carlton Towers is something truly magical, so we whisked them outside (probably against their will!) to make the most of that breathtaking sky

Night time Wedding Photography

When all was said and done – and after a few glasses of prosecco on the dance floor – this stunning Yorkshire wedding venue had one more surprise up its sleeve. As night fell, Carlton Towers was beautifully lit, casting a warm, romantic glow over its grand architecture. We couldn’t resist taking Beth & Rob outside for a few final wedding photographs, making the most of this magical, illuminated backdrop
