Chelsey & Mish said I do in April 2025 at the Holmes mill, stacked with over 100+ guests (And even more for the evening) they throw together a great day! The boys dressed in stylish black suits and the bride with her gorgeous dress from almonds bride.
Tucked away in the heart of Clitheroe, Holmes Mill blends raw industrial charm with laid‑back luxury. Exposed brickwork, soaring beams, and the glow of candlelight create a setting that’s effortlessly cool yet deeply personal. It’s not your typical wedding venue – Holmes Mill is part of a vibrant estate with bars, pubs, and even a bowling alley, giving your day a unique energy and plenty of spaces to explore.
Right next to the venue is a hotel with apartments from top to bottom, offering plenty of rooms for all your guests to stay. Walking into Chelsey’s bridal prep room, we were spoiled for space and beautiful natural light – perfect for creating some truly stunning portraits of her. (And honestly… how incredible did she look?!)
The rustic charm of Holmes Mill really comes to life in the old mill itself, with its industrial vibe and strings of lights draped from the ceiling, casting a warm glow across the room. As a wedding photographer, spaces this big are a dream – there’s plenty of light, plenty of room, and endless opportunities to capture the ceremony from every angle.
Once the ceremony room is turned around, guests are guided into the stunning bar next door – the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink with friends and family. It’s an ideal moment for me as a Holmes Mill wedding photographer to capture those candid interactions before we dive into the family group shots and, of course, that all‑important confetti moment.
What I love about Holmes Mill is how many photo opportunities it offers once you start looking. It’s full of interesting textures, little details, and different spaces to work with, which made it a great spot to get creative and capture something a bit different for the day.
The wedding breakfast room is then transformed for the evening celebrations – ready for the food, the dancing, and all the unforgettable antics still to come on your wedding day
If you’re wondering where to go for wedding photos at Holmes Mill, you’re spoilt for choice. There’s the striking engine room right next door, the charming streets of Clitheroe itself, and even a nearby park if you fancy venturing a little further. And, of course, we can’t forget the big red bus – a bold pop of colour that looks incredible against a bride’s white dress.
When the formalities are over and it’s time to let your hair down, Holmes Mill transforms once again – this time into the ultimate space for your evening reception. It’s the part of the day everyone loves: music, dancing, and maybe a few too many drinks as the celebrations go late into the night.
Kind words from Chelsea & Mish
Fabio was an absolute dream! I have never seen someone so efficient with taking photos as I told him that as much as we wanted the family pics and the couple pics, we didn’t want to spend a lot of our day doing these and would prefer to spend time with our guests. He was so on the ball with making sure everyone was where they needed to be so we could get the pics done in record time!
