Chilli Barn Wedding Photography

A summer wedding turned wet and windy as a storm rolled across the UK on Katy & Anthony’s big day! But the weather didn’t dampen any spirits  it was full steam ahead as they celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Chilli Barn.

Both bride and groom chose the nearby Otley Chevin Lodges (just 5 minutes away) for their morning prep. With the help of the Liberty Campers shuttle runs, everyone was able to move back and forth with ease.

Since both Katy and Anthony were getting ready there, it gave me the perfect chance to jump between the lodges and capture moments of them both  setting the scene for what was to come later in the day.

At the Venue

After the morning prep, I made my way over to the Chilli Barn and waited with Anthony and the guests for Katy’s arrival.

With the weather still throwing its worst at us, the brilliant Chilli Barn team were on hand with a few shuttle runs of brollies to help everyone get inside. They made sure the girls were safely unloaded and into the venue, keeping spirits high despite the downpour.

The Ceremony

After the big i do! all the guests moved to the tepee with a cosy firepit keeping everyone warm! Whilst the weather wasn’t great it was also very cosy and cute in there!

Whilst i was on lookout all day waiting for that gap in the weather! it finally came and a 5 minute gap appeared for us to quickly grab a few photos! (Never say never and have hope!)

The Evening Dancing

After the speeches and plenty of laughter, it was time to round off the celebrations with the cake cut, first dance, and a night full of dancing. Just when I thought the evening was winding down, Katy suggested sparklers. I’ll admit my first thought was “in this weather?!” But I’m so glad we went for it, because it turned into one of the most epic photos of the whole day.
